Supreme Court, here they come . . . so let’s get this show on the road and do the right thing!
I’ve been volunteering a little time with Equality Florida – our local goal is to convince the City Council of this small very conservative city to pass a Human Rights Ordinance. We feared it might be difficult; this is, as I said, a conservative city and has a large elderly population.
Guess what – three of five council members are with us. Once has already spoken out publicly. The world moves under our feet.
You can have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, or democracy. But you cannot have both.
