If you’re NBC, you do not have to put up with some little person hurting your feelings, because it hurts sooo much; you fight back. You throw your weight around and shut that little person up (irony alert: shut up!).
NBC, I hope someone takes you to the frackin’ Supreme Court of these United States for this. You too, Twitter.
Critic of NBC has Twitter account suspended after network complains
Throughout the Olympics, Guy Adams has taken to Twitter and ripped NBC repeatedly for its coverage of the Games in America.
Namely, he’s criticized the network’s reliance on using tape delays, a frustration shared by millions of viewers.
A few of his tweets:
“Am I alone in wondering why NBC thinks its [sic] acceptable to pretend this road race is being broadcast live?” he wrote in one.
“Matt Lauer: ‘Madagascar, a location indelibly associated with a couple of recent animated movies,'” he mocked on another.
Adams encouraged Lauer “to shut up” and called out Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics, as the “moronic exec behind the time delay.” And he said Zenkel should be fired.
Subversive in the extreme, eh?
Mac tells us in a downstream thread that he watched the Opening Ceremonies on BBC One and pronounced it splendid.
It boggles my mind how a huge corporation like NBC can be so bothered by one little guy’s opinion. American culture is heading somewhere I don’t want to go.

Now I am chapped! You don’t even follow me on Twitter! 😦
Really though, I don’t even know what it means to “follow” someone there. I have about 50 or so but jeez what’s it for? What do “followers” do? hang out all day on Twitter to see if the people you’re following put something there? Then what?
Tell you what Moe … “follow” me and I’ll “follow” you. Deal? 🙂

Okay Steve – although, like you, I’m still somewhat puzzled. I go there sometimes to read stuff from people I follow, but haven’t quite figured out that hashtag thingee.
But yeah,, let’s go follow and see if it gets any clearer.

And although I like you too … I don’t get how the Twitter “hashtag” or anything works. Except … okay, you’re allowed 140 characters total … but, it you post the link for something first, then write your comment, the link doesn’t take away from the amount of characters you’re able to type.
I’ll look for you there.

One of us has to figure out how to add the ‘follow me on twitter’ thingee as a widget here and then we can find each other.

I don’t think that’s working – clicking it at your place brought me to a Twitter page but it was odd. I know there’s a way to do it thru WordPress, but I’ve been having many WordPress problems lately and can’t find it.
