Yes the atmosphere of civility just went out the window. Republicans hate the poor. Republicans are for dirty air and water. Republicans are for the rich.
Same old shinola, different decade.

Oh Alan, where do you find any mention at all of political parties in this post? Or maybe you’re just pointing out that the fat cats are automatically the Republicans?
It’s not about parties. It’s about the uber-rich non state corporations eating us alive.

It’s the middle class that’s getting screwed with conservative policies. The war on unions is a war on the middle class.

Ms. Holland,

It is not that fat cats are automatically Republicans . Far from it . It is that in the ” Context ” of being posted here that the meaning is clear .
It is amazing how the rioters are carrying on in Madison . Tea Partyers have never caused damage like this or threatened politicians . It reminds me of the thugs President Obama sent to the homes of the bankers who got bonuses during the bailouts . Chicago politics . π

You read me wrong this time Alan – the context does not equal a partisan conclusion on that cartoon. Sure, the Repubs support the corproations and the dems support working people, so read into that what you will. But the fact is that the real struggle is between the astonishing big money and the rest of us. (and guess what? they’re not on our side).
The Madison protestors, no matter what the right wing media focuses on, are not rioters nor thugs. They are dignified American working people fighting against losing a right that was gained iwth decades of blood.

Ms. Holland,
The Wisconsin Government union people are not Norma Ray types . More like Jimmy Hoffa types . I mean that in a good way . π
