King: Obama needs to put his foot down on Muslim Brotherhood
The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said Friday that it’s essential that the U.S. try to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood from having a part in Egypt’s new government.
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said on Fox’s “Hannity” that Washington has six months to work with the military leaders guiding the democratic transition in Egypt. . . As Americans we have a strategic interest in the Middle East. We cannot just sit back and say that the Muslim Brotherhood can work itself in . . . as Americans we cannot take the risk of allowing a group that fraternizes with terrorists who talks radically to have them get any power in the Middle East,” King said.
Okeydokee Pete, let’s go with that. A question: How?
(Maybe by building on our success with Al Qaeda and the Taliban? Oops, they blew up a great big bomb in Kandahar today – Baghdad yesterday).
Pete King is has a bit of a temper and is really really skeered of Mooslims. He says so all the time.

That didn’t count
If Obama does it, he hates America. And it doesn’t make any difference at all if Bush did it too, because, well, Bush wasn’t a Kenyan born black Muslim elitist.
It seems Obama has asked that terrifyingly Muslim imam, director of the Cordoba Institute in New York near Ground Zero, to attend a dialogue in the Middle East and speak about being a Muslim in America. He asked, because Feisal Abdul Rauf is an old hand at this. He did it for Bush.
Yup, George Bush sent Rauf on a friend-making tour to the Arab world with Bush staffer Karen Hughes, where they visited multiple countries and were part of the February 2006 U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Doha, Qatar.
But still, outrage is always good television. Just ask Hannity and Gingrich on FOX. (The video won’t embed dammit – and it’s a good one. If I have the time and energy, I’ll try to find another one and save you, gentle reader, from the arduous task of clicking through.)
Gingrich is offensive here. Just offensive. I love the part where he says this imam deliberately bought that property to be controversial. Cordoba Institute bought the property before 9/11. I expect this ignorant nonsense from the ratings whore Hannity. Gingrich here shows himself to be completely without a concern for the national good and utterly contemptuous of the US Constitution. But then, these guys have never been big fans of the Bill of Rights.
