For many years now, Red State dot com has been the online launching pad for a good deal of the looniness that’s worked its way into our national conversation. Red State is not WND or NewsMax; it’s far too literate for that kind of comparison. It’s not quite Glenn Beck world either, but no doubt they share a readership.
Today, founder and editor Eric Erickson wrote this:
Barack Obama won the election.
He did not win by stealing the election. Voter irregularities always happen. It is one reason we support voter ID rules. But even in the worse scenario of reports out there, there were not enough tales of voter irregularities to matter nationwide. This is another benefit and built in safeguard of the electoral college.
Barack Obama won. He won by turning out the most people in a well run campaign. In other words, he won fair and square.
We here at RedState are American citizens. We have no plans to secede from the union. If you do, good luck with that, but this is not the place for you.
We have a place for you here if you wish to continue the fight against Republicans in Washington like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell who’d be happy to sell us down the river to keep their power, no matter how devoid of principle or sound policy. You have a place here if you’d like to keep fighting the Democrats who are intent on further stifling economic growth, pushing forward with Obamacare, bankrupting the nation, and siding with teachers unions against kids who deserve better.
Too many people have spent the past four years obsessed with birth certificates. Now they are obsessed with voter fraud conspiracies, talk of secession, and supposed election changing news stories if only we had known.
So let’s add dabblers in this latest nuttiness to birthers as a category of people we do not welcome at RedState. Our aim is to beat the Democrats, not beat a retreat to a Confederacy that Generals Grant and Sherman rent asunder well over a hundred years ago.
Even here at RedState, while we may not much care for him, President Obama is still our President and we are still quite happily citizens of the United States. If we must drain this fever swamp that’s taken hold of a few people on the right over this past week before we can drain the swamp in Washington, so be it.
All others need not apply.
Good for him.
You can have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, or democracy. But you cannot have both.

However, I think it should be pointed out that your accusation that people who disagree with you politically are automatically of low intelligence is untrue on the face of it. I for instance voted mostly Republican for five decades before lately becoming a Democrat, the reason being, not senescence (geezers can still be sharp) but simply becoming a blogger and, being concerned about accountability of opinion in writing, taking the time to reason on the issues. My education includes a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in business, and I hope you would agree that I didn’t get that far by being a “moron”, to use your word.

Its called an experiment, I went to see what the protests were about and I did. They were all democrats, communists, or socialists, they just were whining about stuff they were “owed” . How unfair the world, America, and business in general is depriving them of everything. I talked to a few people there and almost all of them did not work , and wanted or rather “deserved” free stuff. I did not accept free food from occupy chicago , that is a lie. My blog is an experiment in freedom from the constraints, placed upon all of Us by being in a society itself, and is an experiment in finding personal solutions to them. I and the experiments are strictly non communist, statist, or authoritarian. If You need to be bossed around by, the gods, society, wife, children, tards, negrophiles or even dark lord emperor obama, so be it that maybe great for You ,but I dont see a good end to the dull leading the duller.

I was using that as an example of different ways to get things done, period. I work everyday, and pay taxes , even If they are taken by force, I was trying to show by example that by doing things differently, People can do more than just whine ,and , or do without, forced to stay a wage slave, and or a welfare recipient. I am not for any interference in My life at all from government or people at all. You, I suppose are freer? I have no mortgage, no rent, no payments, no bills, no boss, and no family ties like kids, or wives, ex or other wise to burden Me . I do what I want, when and where and how I wish to do it. If You are doing better at being free ,surely You can share Your tips as most everyone wants to be a bit freer.
