About Jim Lehrer and that debate

It’s interesting to hear those purveyors of the latest meme agree most robustly  that Lehrer failed as a moderator. They’ve called him old, out of touch, slow to the draw . . . all the important people say he failed. He lost control.

They also say it was a substantive debate for a change, something that’s been missing and we need more of.

How can these two things both be true?

One response to “About Jim Lehrer and that debate

  1. There was more direct interaction at times between the two as opposed to their just presenting a set of talking points that didn’t address what the other had said in real time. That’s been lacking from most debates.
