If only we’d sent the Marines in . . .

I honestly will never understand these people:

One of the problems I have with “leading from behind” is that when a day like this comes, we don’t have the infrastructure in place that we could have. I’m glad it ended the way it did. It took longer than it should have. If we could have kept American air power in the fight it would have been over quicker. Sixty-thousand Libyans have been wounded, 3,000 maimed, 25,000 killed. Let’s get in on the ground. There is a lot of money to be made in the future in Libya.  Lot of oil to be produced. Let’s get on the ground and help the Libyan people establish a democracy and a functioning economy based on free market principles.

Iraq was the model you know. And that worked so well.

  1. I don’t understand either. It’s ethically questionable to economically enslave any country, but it’s downright absurd when the economic principles being asserted have come to the point of critical failure in our own country.

    • But here, where we were brutally abused by our financial institutions in the ultimate failure of capitalism, we seem to have forgotten what actually happened.

  3. What an asshole.
They just had an incredibly bloody civil war and there is much grieving and reconciliation to be done there. And what’s this guy thinking about? Lining the pockets of the already wealthy, period.
He doesn’t give two shits if these people are free, and the average citizen would have no chance in his ‘free market’ after the big corporations move in.

  4. It’s embarrassing, whiny little boys. McCain gave all the credit to France and UK last night, and when Wolf B pushed him on the administration’s role – he got a very painful face that lasted for seconds.
    Gosh these people are childish.

  5. One day, the human skins these creatures wear are going to slide off and we will finally see what this species looks like. I’m going with the standard, cold-blooded reptilian template, but an oozing mass of bubbling crud might also work. Ferengi perhaps?
Do they really think Iraq and Afghanistan have turned out so well, not to mention America. Douche nozzles, all of them.
