That’s all she said

From Al Jazeera, a brief short paragraph. Tantalizing but no more info there at present. Huh?

According to sources in the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel is making preparations to welcome Hosni Mubarak into exile after Saudi Arabia rejected overtures.

UPDATE: Oddly, that story is still on Al Jazeera’s front page at 7pm on Monday, but there are no more details than yesterday. Just the single sentence.

They must have dropped their link. It now re-directs to the Al Jazeera employment page. Working for Al Jazeera might be cool, but there is no-way -in-hell I’d ever move to Saudi Arabia. Take a snake-pit and a sewer-hole, throw yourself in wearing a strait-jacket and ball-gag = my difinition of Saudi Arabia.

They said it was like getting lots of money to live in jail. It was even worse for the women who went with them. ‘Liberty’ and ‘Expression’ would not be the words they used to describe their experience in Saudi Arabia. I remember my cousin had used the words ‘Scary’ and ‘Oppressive.’

        • I’m sure Mubarak has plenty of money – he could probably live anywhere that would take him in.

I’ve heard that Saudi is even worse than it used to be – Western women don’t even leave the compounds any more. Man, if they ever knock the monarchy out there, I can’t imagine what it would be like.
