I wanted to take a nap . . .

. . . but then I saw this.  At McClatchy.

WASHINGTON — A majority of Americans want the Congress to keep the new health care law or actually expand it, despite Republican claims that they have a mandate from the people to kill it, according to a new McClatchy-Marist poll.

  1. I’m always suspicious of polls I disagree with. How can anyone say what a majority wants or don’t want. when I was not asked. I can only guess that 90% of those polled in the McClatchy-Marist poll, did not vote in the midterm elections.

    • Polls are pretty darn scientific Alan. It’s the same methodology used by market researchers who decide what flavor the next Smoothie should be. US business seems to think it works for them. Polls are real but ephemeral – they only represent a moment in time. Which is why ‘tracking polls’ are so important.

Anyway, they didn’t ask me either dammit!

    • If I am reading you right, you believe with polls you agree with?
