Just as the right wing noise machine always says, that liberal media will spin every which way to make their guy look good. Like with this screaming front page at Huff Post right now:
Of course, I will allow as they aren’t calling for impeachment, so there’s that.
You can have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, or democracy. But you cannot have both.

But do you hear anything out of the “real” media as opposed to online sources? Television is, after all, how the masses are still provided with their opinions…
On the other hand, that HuffPo ran this is great and more than a little surprising. I guess the top-level changes are having some form of positive effect after all.

Most of MSNBC has been bashing this mercilessly for over a week (probably not Maddow or Big Ed or Sharpton – don’t know, don’t watch them). PBS is all over it. I don’t watch network news so don’t kow. The Sunday shows – wall to wall. Washington Post, NY Times are all over it. I’m not seeing many apologists and I’m a news junkie.

Yeah, I was just about to pop back here and state my shock about that. I went over my transcripts and such for the last cpl of days and the MSM was actually all up on that.
It was a freaking shock, though a pleasant one.

I pointed out that as soon as the shutdown dropped the media would go after the Healthcare Site which IS a mess….

To be hopeful here, whilst I agree wholeheartedly that the established media all sing from the same sheet and tell the same story, the simple fact that people are actually chosing to read blogs (like here) and other alternative sources must be a sign that change can be effected?

Not really. So far, at least, it has just created another divide within the populace, this time between tv infotainment junkies and people who use the web as well or even primarily.

David, I wish I could be hopeful about this thing . . . I think it’s a mortal wound no matter what the media say . . . if the site isn’t working in a few weeks, the whole program is in serious jeopardy.

Democrats have always been at a disadvantage because they instinctively want to tell the truth, whereas their opposition is instinctively disingenuous. Or so it seems to me. One can always find exceptions to generalizations, but the HuffPost headlines appear to be good evidence of it.

Jim, I just wish they’d tell more truth – or at least stop avoiding acknowledgement of how bad it is – I understand that today there was a Rose Garden ‘event’ where Obama had 13 (thirteen!!!) people who had successfully enrolled as the ‘show and tell’.That’s – gasp (I hate to say this about my guy) – that’s terribly disingenuous.

I would not worry about anything. As the President said, ” Consider that just a couple of weeks ago Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system. And with in days they found a glitch, so they fixed it. I don’t remember anybody suggesting Apple should stop selling Iphones or Ipads, or threatening to shut down the company if they didn’t. Thats not how we do things in America. We don’t actively root for failure. We get to work, we make things happen, we make them better, we keep going. ”
I have listened to 5 years of equaling inspiring speeches and I have the faith, that no matter how bleak things appear, it will all be okay. It must be. ACA will not be allowed to fail.
